MTA is in the process of developing concept level plans and additional analysis to move forward design elements for the CCT.  Detailed work is underway for the project and will include an operating plan, revised capital and operations cost estimates, detailed analysis of transit ridership results and other analysis and documentation required for a request to entry into the Federal Transit Administration Project Development process.

Milestones

• Supplemental EA published November 30, 2010
• Supplemental EA Public Hearing December 15, 2010
• Supplemental EA 60-day public comment period ends February 1, 2011
• Selection of a Locally Preferred Alternative May 11, 2012

Projected Schedule

• Spring 2013 – Entry in to FTA Project Development phase
• Spring 2013 – Spring 2015 – Completion of project development phase, including environmental document

Dependent on Funding

• Spring/Summer 2015 – Initiate design activities
• Summer 2017 – receive full funding grant agreement from FTA
• Summer 2017 – begin right-of-way acquisitions/permitting/agreements
• Fall 2018 – begin construction
