The CCT public hearing in December 2010 included dozens of comments from concerned citizens of the King Farm community about the potential for impacts resulting from the CCT's operation on King Farm Boulevard. In January 2011, the Rockville Mayor and City Council formally requested the MTA to study alignment alternatives to the Master Plan alignment in the median of King Farm Boulevard. The MTA examined the feasibility of alternative alignments to King Farm Boulevard and have concluded that none performs as well as the King Farm Boulevard alignment. The results of that study are reported in the following report documents.
